Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier
General Description
The design of a Kamsarmax bulk carrier has been carried out for one of our customers. The structural design conforms to the Common Structural Rules of IACS. The ship can carry different types of bulk cargoes amounting to 81,360 Tons and includes Ore, Coal, Grains etc.
The Vessel is designed as ocean-going Kamsarmax size vessel with single fixed pitch screw driven by a slow speed main engine. The vessel operates at a service speed of 12 knots.
The main design objectives are economy of operation, safety and environmental protection. Maximisation of deadweight, fuel and energy efficiency optimization has resulted in an ideal design for this vessel.
The ship systems support all the functional aspects of the vessel and includes power generation and distribution. The Engine used is a dual fuel MAN B&W 5S65ME-C8TII. The Fresh Air Intake System (FAIS) is deployed and is useful in improving the efficiency of the engine.

Main features of the Vessel
- Vertical bow with forecastle.
- The cargo area has seven (7) cargo holds and is gearless.
- All accommodation including navigation bridge and propulsion machinery is located aft.
- Space for methanol bullet tanks is earmarked at the aft of the superstructure.
- A fan room is provided next amidships for cargo hold ventilation.
- Superstructure block is shaped aerodynamically to reduce wind resistance.
- Double hulled fuel tank to avoid spillage when external hull is damaged.
- Energy efficient propeller (improved fuel efficiency, and reduced fluctuation pressure which reduces noise & vibration) along with Propeller Boss Cap Fin.
- Complies with NOx Tier III emission control regulations (3.4 g/kWh) within designated emission control area.

General Description

Engineered for sustainability, the vessel integrates fuel-efficient engines, an optimized hull design, and advanced cargo handling systems to reduce operational costs with minimal environmental impact. The vessel is designed for the transportation of a wide range of bulk commodities including agricultural products, minerals and ores, fertilizers, forest products, steel products etc. It features five cargo holds capable of accommodating bulk cargo of about 43000 tons with dedicated cargo handling gears including four 30 T cranes for efficient loading and unloading operations, even at ports with limited infrastructure.
The Vessel is designed as a un-restricted ocean-going Handymax size vessel with single fixed pitch screw driven by dual fuel main engine. The vessel operates at a service speed of 14 knots, carrying dry cargo including bulk cargoes, such as coal, iron ore, grains, etc. The main design objectives are economy of operation, safety and environmental protection. Maximisation of deadweight and fuel and energy efficiency optimization has resulted in an ideal design for this vessel.

C-Matine’s 50T BP Ocean tugs are vessels fully adapted to the operational needs of shipowners and the requirements of international port authorities. With a length of 32.725
m and a bollard pull of 50 tons, this tug is capable of handling the most demanding port tasks.
The tug is equipped with Caterpillar 3516C engines that offer a total power of 3650 bKW (4894 bhp) at 1600 rpm, while their top speeds reach 12 knots. The design of these tugs facilitates high manoeuvrability and stability, a fact that makes them ideal port vessels to offer support to the different types of ships and marine crafts they assist.
This 50T BP tug is the optimal size for its functionality of moving medium as well as large vessels both in the harbour and out at sea. The 2 x 2330 mm Steerable Rudders provide the thrust and agility that is required in the harbour.
It is powerful and has increased capacities for fuel and fresh water tanks, for extended endurance required for firefighting operations as well as port duties and can accommodate 12 men.

C-Marine has developed the basic and detailed design of a Research Vessel tailored for sophisticated research. This vessel features a state-of-the-art diesel-electric propulsion system, ensuring efficient and reliable operation. Additionally, it is equipped with dynamic positioning capabilities for precise manoeuvring during research activities.
The ship is designed to minimize underwater radiated noise, making it ideal for sensitive acoustic measurements. It includes special test facilities such as a moon pool, gondola, and drop keel, which facilitates the easy deployment and retrieval of research equipment. Additionally, the ship is equipped with three deck cranes, high-resolution acoustic modules for detailed surveys, and comprehensive oceanographic equipment for extensive data collection, including the deployment of underwater moored systems.
The Vessel is designed as research vessel capable of speeds between 4 to 12 knots and an endurance of about 40 days or 5,000 nautical miles at top speed.

The twin-screw inland oil tanker from C-Marine is designed for the safe carriage of Jet A1 aviation fuel. The vessel features a conventional propulsion system driven by diesel engines (2 x 640 kW) and a hull subdivided by watertight bulkheads for enhanced safety. Double bottom and double side (J) tanks provide segregated ballast. The cargo area comprises 8 cargo tanks, 2 slop tanks, and 1 pump room for efficient cargo handling.
Accommodation spaces (for 10 crew members) are located above the main deck, below the navigation deck, ensuring optimal crew comfort and operational convenience. The power needed for the ship is generated by 2 x 240 kW Gensets.
The vessel is designed with safety of people and assets in mind. The cargo tanks are coated with advance polymer coating/Jet-fuel-certified Phenolic Epoxy coating). The ship has an Agitation system, Explosion proof electrical equipment, Gas detection system (in pump room) and Temperature Monitoring System.

C-Marine’s MR Tanker is intended for operation in Indian coastal as well as for international trade.
The vessel is designed with single-screw dual-fuel engine (1x MAN B&W 6S50ME-B9.5), capable of carrying clean petroleum products in bulk according to IMO requirements such as MS/HSD/Reformate/Naphtha/ATF/DPP (VLSFO/FO).
The vessel design is fitted with longitudinal bulkheads, bulbous bow and transom stern. Double bottom / double side tanks and peak tanks are incorporated for segregated ballast. Cargo space is divided into twelve (12) cargo tanks, 2 slop tanks and 1 residue oil tank. Tanks are arranged at Port & Stbd sides.
The vessel is designed to carry minimum 3 grades of clean petroleum product simultaneously using a system of double valves segregation for each grade.
Accommodation, Navigation Bridge and Engine Room to be located at aft end of the vessel. Ship’s complement is 27 persons + 6 Suez crew.

The Single Point Mooring buoy designed by C-Marine is a 6.0 m dia buoy anchored to the sea bed in 80m of water depth by 04 anchor legs. This buoy has a max sway circle of 20m.
This SPM is used for anchoring vessels in the ocean or in channel in ports while they await berthing spaces.
The buoy has communication facilities. The source of power for the buoy is batteries that lasts up to 30 days.

These pilot boats are designed to meet the most demanding coastal pilotage requirements. The 18 m boat is powered by 2 x 670 bKW at 2000 RPM Main engines driving 2 x Fixed Pitch Propellers.
The pilot boat provides for seating up to 8 Pilots/Crew members. This seating capacity would be useful to carry large maintenance teams with their equipment to vessels in distress, or carry rescued crew members.
The vessel has facilities for crew members to live on-board, thereby making the crew members and maintenance team to work independently of shore facilities.
Hull material is steel and is therefore easy to maintain.

C-Marine’s supply vessel design focuses on maximizing the transportation of essential material required for offshore construction or support for Oil Rigs. They are designed to carry a variety of cargo such as FO, Mud, Brine, Cement etc.
A length overall of 73.00 M and beam of 17.20 m makes it a compact supply vessel capable of carrying a deadweight of 2200 Tons. A large complement of 60 makes sufficient room for transportation of personnel.
The vessel is designed with a large deck area of 500 m2 for the transportation of deck cargo. The powerful engines 2 x 3000 KW makes it possible for a Bollard poll of 110 Tons and a max speed of 13 Kn.
